Health anxiety

i am currently waiting to have an MRI scan because i have been dizzy all day everyday for 7 weeks, the doctors dont know if its vertigo or anxiety, i am convinced i have something wrong with me, i am scared i wont be able to break this cycle and i worry ill be this way forever, i am always in bed because i am so worried about what the days will hold- i am 23 years old and this is not how i want to be forever, i dont have the motivation to do things… somedays when i feel like hoovering the house i start and then a get symptoms and then it sends me back to worrying… i feel alone and zoned out all the time, i dont know how to explain it! i get so frustrated with myself for letting it get like this!

i stuck in my own head at the moment and cant seem to find a way to escape!

i fear heart problems to but after all the tests came back normal i am able to tell myself its not my heart!

this dizziness is driving me insane please can someone give me advice on how to overcome this?

I have had this before due to anxiety , one time it lasted for a very long time (come and went during the day ) I always felt like I was spaced out, dizzy , brain fog etc.. I read somewhere that magnesium is meant to help. I do take magnesium and this symptom has got better (but I’m not saying its definitely because of the magnesium) I have bad health anxiety so I always think the worst when I get any symptom!!

i cant stop thinking its something serious, i have the falling sensation, headaches and dizziness. they treated me for vertigo but that didnt work, i feel disconnected from everything xx

Yes Sarah…don’t isolate yourself. Keep doing stuff as hard as it might be. Force yourself to get up and about. I’d dealt with your symptoms and THEN SOME in my early 20s and had a severe bout about 5 yrs ago. I’m 45 now. The off-balance dizziness was so bad I would have to grab onto things. It’s nowhere near what it was 5 yrs ago and it comes on every now and then, typically with higher stress levels. Incidentally, I struggle with GAD.

Sleep and diet have made a huge difference for me. I feel a lot better and have more energy after cutting out refined carbs, which is tough because I enjoy them. I walk daily as well and you can even with the severe dizziness. When it hit hard 5 yrs ago I would still go jogging although it felt like I was swaying from side to side.

Eventually you become exhausted of worrying. Then you realize as this happens a lot of symptoms go away. Unfortunately, getting to that point took some time for me.

Anyway, good luck with the MRI.
