Hi! My son is in nursing school and will be starting clinicals in September. He needs to purchase an amplified stethoscope. I was wondering if anyone is in the medical field and which type of stethoscope you would recommend. He is only impaired in one ear, so we're looking for one that allows you to adjust the volume in each ear individually. Thanks so much, I appreciate all the help I can get!!!
Hi Kelly. If you look around for a medical supplier near you that sells amplified stethoscopes, they are the best people to tell you what is available. Just make sure they specialise in a lot of different stethoscopes.
Thank you so much! I've been looking at different ones online and have contacted the manufacturer, however, he is unable to even try any of them out. I was hoping perhaps someone would be available locally to try the different brands out, no luck. It's an expensive stethoscope to buy without even trying first! I will try a medical supplier! Hello, You mentioned that ur son has a hearing impairement only in one ear. Couple of ?. Does he use a hearing aid to that ear. If yes what type of device is he wearing now. I am an audiologist . Will be able to give you better advise if i have some more info
