Heart anxiety

Hi my name is dan I am a 28 year old male I have been suffering with panic attacks and anxiety for a few years now but I am getting worse over the last few weeks I all think I am having a heart attack tight chest heart flutters and rapid heart rate can any one give me some feed back and have a chat about this please

Hey I've had palpitations with heart rate 150 for hours, cardiologist puts it down to stress, anxiety is a horrible thing, u just need to remember that's all it is. I've had anxiety since the age of 11 where I've thought I was dying many times, it's back for me now thinking I've got astma as I feel my breathing isn't right , it's horrible.

Thanks lynda I am just getting all worked up again over it and it's seems to get worse any advice on how to try and channel my anxiety

Just remember that that's all it is is anxiety, try n do something to keep your mind occupied, watch tv, read, do some excercise. I'm just telling myself u only live once so why spend it worrying its a complete waste of time! Heart symptoms are typical of anxiety, had them all, tight chest, palpitations, skipped beats, the lot, I even phoned an ambulance once cause of it.

I think it all started m when my dad had a heart attack and I no the symptoms so when I get any of the symptoms I start the panic and thenot I am like it for days just stuck in a rut at the mo and can't see the end of the tunnel

Your 28 the chances of there being anything wrong with your heart are slim, have you had any tests done? Maybe that would put your mind at rest x

I havery had 2 ecg and both came bake clear just with rapid heart rate due to panicking

What was your heart rate? Maybe you should ask for an echo and that would put your mind at rest x

Yeah at one point I felt like I was having a stoke, my left arm felt really numb, it was weird x

It feels like my left arm is really acheing and my fingers are hurting just laying here in bed everyone else is sleeping and I am panicking

Is there no one in your house you can go and talk to? That mite calm you down, it always works for me if someone can reassure me x

No everyone is sleeping and Iam up for work in 4 hours but my mind is on over drive

Relaxation exercises are very helpful, I agree that exercise is great, you need to break the cycle of anxious thoughts, your heart sounds fine!
