Heart Attack

I am male 40 years age. I had heart attack in November 2013. I had my angiogram done 2 weeks later and I was told that there are mild irregularities in 2 arteries and moderate stenosis in one artery. No further procedure was done and I was asked to change my life style , quit smoking and reduce weight. I just changed my eating habits and lost 20 kg weight. I feel tiredness and some times pain in my chest. My doctor says that I am in a state of depression. Can any body tell me what is it?

Hi Mehdi: I hope you are getting this diagnosis of depression from a Cardiologist, not a GP. I've been listening to GP's for years, and didn't get the real story till I saw a Cardiologist.

Good luck my friend.

Thanks Mary for replying. I am little stuck now days and don't know what do do and where to go.

would go back to your GP, if you do not feel mentally depressed, but just don't feel like doing much or tired, this is heart related, ask to be referred to Cardiac Consultant or for further tests, if you are not depressed, insist or go to another Dr, Walk in Clinic or A & E if you get no joy from your GP.

I was already diagnosed with Dialted Cardiomyopathy and it had progressed, but GP kept saying it was depression, fatigue is when you just need to rest and have no energy to do physical things, you don't need sleep, just to rst from physical activity. Any chest pain nad tiredness needs to be investigate with and more so with your history.

Good Luck
