Hi everyone,
As you may have seen from previous discussions by myself i am unfortunately an anxiety sufferer. I have the most awful palpitations every day without fail, at least 6/7 a day id say AT LEAST. I have had two 7 day ecgs and 3 heart tracings that includes 1 i have had at my local a&e department. As far as i knew my doctor referred me in March to the cardiologist as my my recent 7 day ecg came back with a slight irregular heart beat.
Today i went back to the doctor and turns out i was never referred so my doctor looked back through my results and said i have now been referred today and i have got to do a blood test.
What would this blood test be for? to check thyroid? (had thyroid checked previously and came back fine) or something more?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
thank you
Lauren
Hey there, did the doctor give you a blood test form. If so, it will tell you on it what investigations the doctor is requesting. It could well be for an assortment of internal functions. Maybe, not Thyroid as you seem to already had that test. But then, maybe your doctor doesn't know that...? Donna xxx
Good Day
I did check up as well, they found out that I have valve lapses. And they found it with sonner.. I did thyroid test it was OK.. You will be OK dear trust me.
Hi Lauren... If your heart is O.
Hi Lauren, I wake up every morning and from naps with a pounding heartbeat and anxiety every single morning. It's so frustrating, I spend most days in tears. After I had a seriously bad ruptured brain aneurysm, My new found miracle medication stopped working and I was back to square one.. It's been 5 months and still, they have found nothing to help me If your heart is O.K. as well as your thyroid then have them check for your potassium, magnesium and cortisol levels. Unfortunately, there is no test for depression and anxiety. Find yourself a good Psychiatrist or therapist that distributes medication. Them about your palpitations and that you were already tested for heart problems and they were normal...Sorry for the other reply. The page deleted it before I even got started. Good luck and I hope the best for you.
