Only on day 2 and my heart has been flip flopping all day. I hate this feeling. I keep telling myself it’s all just start up side effects but when it’s gone in all day you kinda start to feel freaked out. anyone else having heart palps starting up?

Are you taking sertraline mainly for anxiety? If so heart palpatations are very normal with high anxiety levels. I was surprised how immediate my side effects took hold, I was floored on day 1!
I was prescribed propranolol (beta blocker) to help calm the anxiety whilst waiting for the sertraline to start working - may be worth discussing that with your doctor?

Thanks popwop. I don’t remember palps lasting all day the last time I started these but it was a few years ago so prob just don’t remember it. Yes it’s mainly anxiety I’m taking it for. I am really doing my best to ignore it but it doesn’t half unnerve you when your heart is flipping around. X
