heart racing

Hello everyone I've been diagnosed with generalized aniexty. And hydrocondirac. I've been having rapid heart rate, even when I'm just walking around or fixing dinner. Goes to like 115 but goes down whenni relax. Is this normal?

Hi  Tigger27,

This happens to me too, started years ago. When this gets overhelming to manage by simple breathing or relaxation I use medication. A key is you stay free of stress or mental distress as much as possible, should learn to manage your thougths and fear. This is hard to do than said. Practice is important.

Just in case, please get checked your heart and thyroid if they are OK. There are many conditions that cause palpatations.  Take care!

Take up exercise at least 45 minutes a day it helps a lot and get some co enzyme q10 lowest dose. Its part of anxiety the ohysical aspect. Your body goes into fight or flight so it sppeds up your pulse and palps and prob vision gets a bit strange but its all just from the rush. The exercise will aid your body to properly handle the anxiety and keep roper health and the co enyme q10 ubiqinol one is very helpful and healthy to keep you healthy.

With anxiety heart palpitations are normal my maybe go visit your dr, same happened me and I was given a beta blocker to calm my heart rate down it has made a difference x

I can't stress enough that a heart rate of 115 while fixing your dinner is NORMAL!!! it's not rapid at all. You can have a heart rate of 115 watching a movie when you're doing 0 physical movement. You need to understand that as soon as you start using your limbs your heart has to speed up to pump oxygen to the muscles so they can work. Otherwise your arms and your legs would instantly ache. I would be worried if your heart DIDNT raise when you did physical movement. Mine went to 125 yesterday whilst walking round tesco. 115 while driving them 65 while watching tv, it's extremely normal for it to fluctuate. I said this to my therapist once and he explained it in detail making his own go to 105 by just standing up.

To put it into perspective you want a heart rate of 210 minus your age times by 0.75 while you're doing physical activity (jogging or squash etc) fir me that's about 140ish, so don't worry !!

Thanks everyone!! Your input defiantly helps me tremendously.

Have you ever woken up with your heart racing to 125? That's been happening lately too.

Hi, When I was first diagnosed with anxiety, my heart rate would be 125ish throughout the whole day. Hope I helped.

Yeah nightmares cause this. Even if you don't remember them! Happened to me about 8-10 times sometimes, in that moment just before I fell asleep cause I was scared to sleep in case I didn't wake up. but I'm better now. Time really is a good healer
