Hi everybody! I have a concern about my heart rate today ,I usually run on the highest side . My unusually resting heart is 75-85 . Today afternoon I'm having a resting heart of 60-68. It's kind of concerning me because this is low for me. Do you experience something like this ?
I have the same thing my heart rate dips into the mid 50s sometimes. I have been to cardiologist and everything checked out fine have had 7 ekgs a echocardiogram stress test and 24hr holter monitor blood work everything fine. Every time I have been to E.R. for my panic attacks I get asked by the nurses if I am a athlete because my resting heart rate is so low I'm not at all not over weight either though, its even hit upper 40s it is scary but I have learned to deal with it no doctors are concerned so I figured I'm okay. Actually a lower resting heart rate is considered healthier than a higher resting heart rate. So if you feel fine no symptoms like dizziness chest pain fatigue then your fine.
Heart rate of 60-68 is perfectly fine! In fact it means your heart does not have to work hard to pump the blood and oxygen throughout your body. Athletes can have heart rates in the 50s because they are in such great shape.
Just keep eating healthy and getting exercise and get your yearly physical with the doctor. Sometimes our heart rates can vary. When we are anxious it can get up into the 90s and above and when we are more relaxed it can't be lower.
I meant it can be lower one we are more relaxed.
So many factors go into the heart rate, but 60-68 is just fine. A lot of people get lethargic in the afternoon, between around 1-4, this relaxed state would lead to a lower resting heart rate for sure.
