I can feel my heart skipping a beat, it stops for a second and then beats hard. Ive been to a and e and they did blood tests ecg x ray which came back normal and they said it was anxiety. 2 months later i went a and e again for chest pain and they did blood tests which cam back normal and ecg which was globular so they said pericarditis but i dont have chest pain when i breathe. im scheduled for cardiologist in like a month and im scared i wont make it until then, like my heart will just permantley stop. i need some re assurance please
my heart often does the same thing. It seems to skip, then start again with a “thud”. I’m not sure that makes sense but it’s the only way I can explain it. this has been going on for several months. I’m also having alot of shortness of breath. I’ve got an appointment tomorrow with a cardiologist and am very anxious about it.
I’ll try to keep you posted…Lynda
hi
I had the same problem a few weeks ago. It was anxiety. I see a psych and a cbt. I feel better. Maybe u should look into that
Gentle hugs
i have the same thing. i made it to my cardioligest and I am fine its PCVs and that was 2 years ago i take magnesium every day it seems to help and try to keep my anxiety calm but i get much more when that flares up. you will be fine they do not hurt you. i know crazy because it feels so scary. try to relax till you get to get to your doctor. then they can reassure you.
i hope this can put your mind to ease! i never felt this before until i started suffering from severe anxiety! i started feeling my heart skipping a beat! and then it would beat fast for a min after! i was so so scared i went to dr ive had multiple chest x rays. multiple ekg. twice i did a 24 hour heart monitor. ive also had a echo and stress test! all came back normal. the dr said to me that it is totally normal to feel this and that everyones heart skips a beat here and there. he said most people are careless and dont notice it. however people like us with such anxiety we notice every little thing about our bodies!!! especially when it comes to our hearts! i hope this helps!
How did the appointment go?
