Heartbeat

Hi everyone I'm just wondering is there anyone else that can be laying or sitting and be calm and actually feel your heart beating in your back? It's not racing it's beating normal just can feel it beating in the center of my back.

Yea I can feel it sometimes thumping hard in my belly or throat or back. It goes away tho.

Yes! That is my first notice that my anxiety is back! No pun intended.

You think this is a form of anxiety or just something that's normal for everyone?

I can't say that I've ever experienced that, Pamela, but I think that some people are more aware of things that are going on in their bodies than others. I have read other people's posts on this forum and it seems to be quite a common phenomenon.

I really do believe it's anxiety. Sometimes when your anxious your heart beats harder because of the adrenaline so it could vibrate certain parts of your body. Try to start using meditation and progressive muscle relaxation

Yes, quite common. I had continuous anxiety for 18 months, no relief. During that entire time I never could lie on my back or lean back against something because my heart pounded so badly that my body would shake to the beat. I could always hear my heartbeat in my ear. So nerve racking to count your heartbeat 24 hours a day. This is what brought about my heart/health anxiety. Ugh! But I am so much better now.
