Heavy for 2 long!

Grrrr, is it normal to have your thigh feel like it's the heaviest thing on earth with a lot of pressure ?

Yes. Lots of muscles have been mucked around with to get the new hip in.

It is a case of persevering with your physio. Straight after the operation I couldn't lift my left leg off the bed, it was a dead weight.

After two weeks I was able to fully lift it again, albeit wobbly for the first few days.

Hi vettech, oh yes a heavy led leg which feels as though it is not yours, completely normal, it will soon feel normal again, huggiesxx

I have two solid thighs LOL.. no wobbly bits for the first time in years... just do the exercises and I find shaking the thighs with my hands actually eases the tightness.

Hi again vettech, I am four weeks post op, my leg has decided that he is better off with me , so after alot of dicussion I have accepted him back, im pleased to say we are getting on great and we are happily back living as a pair lol , you have to laugh too its better than pills xx

Man is it ever! I never knew that was possible!! But be patient this too shall pass! It was very humbling when I had to ask for help to get in & out of bed for about a week! I still am using this long handle that has a small square at end where I can hook my foot to help me out of bed! Getting in is easy. Hugs, LD

Simply put, yes - my leg felt like it was made of concrete, it soon passes though, to be replaced by other odd feelings, like 'sitting on a pile of golf balls'..
