Good evening, I am 22 years old and I have been facing for several months with some difficult to describe states. Since I wake up in the morning, I feel dizzy, feeling faint and numb in the back of the head area (on the lateral sides). After I get out of bed and spend some time, the numbness disappears from the neck area. But for the rest of the day remains a feeling of fainting and terrible fatigue. Any activity makes me exhausted and provokes me irascibility. These states extend over several days. I do not feel like that all the time, I also have better days. There are actually segments of days when I feel good, followed by a series of days when I feel the symptoms mentioned. I do not know what is causing the transition. The only thing I know for sure is that during the days when I feel bad(terrible) I have very low blood pressure (110/55-something like that). It grows during the day, but it is generally small.
I mention that:
- I did blood tests and the results were fine (I do not have vitamin deficiencies like Mg, Ca, B, etc.);
- I exercise about 3-4 days a week;
- I was also at a psychiatrist who gave me pills of anxiety, but they did not help. I do not think that’s the cause because I said my states are not permanent;
- I recently had surgery for my deviated septum, so I have no breathing problems;
- I did an ECG that looks good; I do not suffer from hypertension;
Do you have any idea? Thank you for your time!
yes I definitely have an opinion on that. Sounds like symptoms of anxiety and stress. I have had them all starting in my 20s. All my testing was also normal. Anxiety and stress definitely can cause dizziness, numbness anywhere on the body, fatigue and exhaustion. Anxiety tends to come and go on its own. you can be feeling perfectly fine then all of a sudden you get these symptoms. That is how anxiety works. anxiety states are not permanent. When the adrenaline wears off, things tend to get better but they can suddenly appear again.
I have had anxiety along with the symptoms since age 5 so I am definitely a veteran to this.
There are hundreds of symptoms it can cause .
all your testing as well as mine have been OK. Start working on anxiety management or visit a counselor which can be very helpful. glad that you were working out and make sure you stay hydrated. It’s one day at a time with anxiety. Perhaps you should re-think the medication the psychiatrist is giving you. It can help take the edge off. take care
Hi
I have the same symptoms but they come and go. I felt fainted recently because I didn’t drink my anxiety and heart pill. So you are not alone dear. I have pains on my left hand that come and go as well. Sometimes I get scared that I will have str ock.. I suspect that I have a problem of blood cerculation..

can I ask what medications you are currently taking?

This sounds like a textbook example of postural hypotension. What kind of meds have you been taking? Some psychiatric medications can have this side effect.
