Hi everyone, I saw the doctor yesterday and she prescribed me orlistat. For years I have been asking for something to help me and this time I didn't ask for these but just asked for help losing weight.
I have come out thinking do I really want to take these. Like most people my fear is the side effects. I am eating a low fat diet for a couple of days before I start taking the tablets in case the side effects work on whats in me already.
I registered with map, and the lady on he phone was really nice so I should be getting some info in the post soon.
Can I ask how many of you, tell people that you are on this drug.
I feel a bit conscious about telling people in case they look at me and think oily leakage LOL
I look forward to getting to know you all, and if anyone has any advice, nice low fat recipies, let me know :D

I find a website called cook it simply is great for low fat recipes.
I have a survival kit in my handbag, spare knickers, pads and wipes, I've never needed it yet, because I stick to a low fat diet.
My close family know I am on Orlistat, but I don't really feel the need to tell others, I am very overweight, so people just think that by eating low fat I am being good.
I've been on Orlistat since September, and I've lost 3 stone.

Hi have been on it two days and its been okay so far, my bowels are looser and have changed colour as long as that is it I'll be happy.
I did have a spaghetti bolognese this evening which I am worrying about. The pasta worked out at 3g of fat but I'm not sure with the bolognese sauce. It was lean mince I used but whether my taste buds have changed after eating low fat, to me it tasted greasy.
hi lv, like u ive been on the tabs 4 3 days, so far so gud, as i understand u r allowed up 2 30g of fat per day, ive been eating quite healthy, ive done all the diets so im quite glad nt 2 b counting points or eating red n green??? im just eating low fat, ive gt about 5 stone to lose!,m so gud luk 2 u keep focused, keep me up dated .xxx
