Hello Im awake again!

Hello friends. I think that sleep if possible is a great healer after diverticular attack. Im begining to think also that stress causes it to flare up

Im a carer myself for a dear friend who had in the past three strokes and recently three mini strokes. We started running a Stroke Club in our district twelve years ago as there was no place for victims to have advice after coming out of hospital. I now find coping very stressful but this is how life seems to be with everything being so fast going these days.

Good wishes to you all and if you happen to find a cookery book for us suffers please let me know. I had one doctor tell me "Dont eat nuts and seeds etc and a different one told me "Eat anything" and that has not been proven that these things cause trouble!!!!!!

Hi Vera,

Sleep  is a great restorer!

I sent you a link to a diet plan in the Divi Diner discussion.  The link is my reply to your first discussion.  (I'm new to this so the terminology is confusing.  What we're in right now is a 'discussion', right?  and the 'forum' is 'Diverticula"?  If you can straighten me out on this I'd appreciate it.)

Thank you,

Carol

Hello Carol. Yes we seem to be on the right track for diverticular problems. I am also new and am finding out all about this site. So far it seems very nice and enables anyone to either discuss any health problem but also helps people to not feel so alone about any kind of health problems that they have. It seems that we are sent out of hospital much quicker than it used to be! Last year I had an attack and stayed in DGH for nearly two weeks. This time I went to the Hastings hospital and was only in for one night. Are you suffering with diverticulosis? Im going to bed now. Catch up tomorrow. Thank you for thelink on diet. Vera

Hey Carol. just found you wandering around the forums on D;D

Hopefully you can find discussions about "OUR" problem on all the various ones.At least you have found the most useful one DIVI DINERS
