Hello Renee. Long time no speak. How you are well. :-) WoW have I been busy. It is now over a year since my last hip op. I don't use the crutches any more. But I can only still walk short distances without having to stop. I am now getting pain in my knees and my legs below the Knees and my feet and toes go cold and white which I don't think is right after all this time. So going to get this checked out. I have moved house and it is all mine. Bought outright no mortgage :-) I have my Malmaute puppy now. He is 11 months old on Tuesday. He qualified for Crufts this year. Then he went and qualified for Crufts 2018 at this years dog show. He has won over 20 rosettes in 5 months and doing very well. This is a photo of him at Crufts :-).
dear hailea,
how great to hear from you and how well you are doing !!! I have been thinking about you often - you have come a long way, darling ... goodness, those were heavy challlenges - |Puppy is absolutely beautiful and I am sure he is going to win big prizes ..
Congratulations on your new home ...
I am a bit disappointed myself because I am not as far as I thought I would/should be ... very stiff and muscle soreness still - also can only walk short distances -
Sounds like a circulation issue when feet and toes go cold , but good to have it checked out ... No walk in the park, is it? But so much better than pre surgery ...
God Bless you, darling ... thank you for sharing ...
big warm hug ,
love,
always

Hello Hailea,
Just over a year for me too.
I'm sorry that you're having these problems and I hope they will soon be sorted. I agree with Renee that the cold and whiteness sounds like a circulation problem - I have a similar problem in my fingers, Raynauds disease.
Your Malamute is absolutely gorgeous!

Hi Hailea, I was glad to hear that you are well. and yes I agree with Renee sounds like circulation/vascular problem, good you are having that checked.
Your dog is beautiful, he looks like a show dog...lucky you, lucky him....
Thank you Renee. I still have sore and stiff muscles below the knee and the cramp is almost unbareable at times. But I am hoping to get all this checked out when I go see DR next week. It doesn't seem right to me so got to get it looked into :-) No you are right. It is no walk in the park. Yes the pain may have gone. But it is still a slow recovery no matter what they say. Glad your ok though. Will pop on a little more regular when I have time :-) Hug to you too Renee :-) x
Yes I think it is circulation and after this long it should be better than it is. Even today it was roasting hot here. But my lower legs were freezing. Thank you CelsB. My boy is very special to me. I hope to get a girl pup later in the year :-)
Thanks Loral. Flint is too young to do anything other than show him at the dogs shows at the moment. But in November he will be pulling me round the sled dog races with a bit of luck. :-)
Hello Hailea, and Renee too,
Good to get your news and see picture of gorgeous puppy...what is his name?
My hips are like yours still on road to recovery, even after 2 years: it's a big operationwe all had, and renee often reminds us!
does having puppy get you 10,000 steps a day in dog walking?
enjoy spring, and gardens, and sunshine at last

Hi Mic ...
it is like a little reunion of old hippies !!! if only we could meet in person -
I don't know if I could have made it through without all of you ... even though we had our challenges, I remember it also to be fun(ny) - especially the ones posted on sleepless nights ...
big warm hug

Hello Mic
Sorry to hear you are still having issues even after 2 years. Yeah I know it was a big op. I thought after this length of time things might start feeling better.
My puppys posh name is Marahootay linx under Tatkresiwok.
His pet name is Flint.
10,000 steps a day ? I wish. I still can't walk 1/4 mile yet. I don't walk with my crutches any more. But I still can't walk all the way round the supermarket. I keep asking for help and GP and my surgeon just seem to over look the issues now I am done. It is really frustrating. :-(
I am enjoying being able to get out in the garden at last. :-D
