has been causing some discomfort and burning sensations, is not an open sore, looks like a small cut under the skin, but im panicking! do herpes sores ever start like this?!
how long did you wait to take a blood test after the exposure of concern? If it was between 12 and 16 weeks you’re in the accurate reading range. if you want definitive answers I’d go see a Dr for a swab for a peice of mind. it could be anything really. Maybe from an ingrown hair or something.

no it was only about 3 weeks after contact, i asked my Dr. about the time of the testing and he said i should be good. but this is freaking me out! its real uncomfortable..idk how long its been there.. but i just noticed it..been having burning sensations for a while..doesnt seem like herpes but my anxiety makes it worse
at this point id go to the er and ask for a swab. It’s the most accurate and you’ll be better off doing it for a peice of mind. I don’t think it’s hsv because if you feel sensations blisters would of shown up. It’s been 3 weeks so boulders is a good sign.
thanks, also wouldnt the blisters or sores show up hours or a day later? my blood test was taken 18 days after contact, my doc said thats enough time for antibodies to show up so idk.. he assured me it was herpes..but like i said, my anxiety is bad! i cant get it swabbed because its not open, its all under my skin..but i set an appointment with my doc to look at it in the morning
You don’t need it to be open to swab. They can swab anything.. good luck n keep us posted to what your Dr says
