so I got my result today and I came back positive for syphilis and my doctor told me that syphilis is not curable but alot of sources online say it is. is my doctor just trying to scare me or do I actually have syphilis for the rest of my life

Syphilis is curable in the vast majority of cases, so perhaps there was some misunderstanding (I’m being diplomatic).
Some of the late stages of syphilis, where there has been extensive organ damage cannot be cured; e.g. aortic aneurysm, aortic regurgitation, advanced neurosyphilis, etc. Late congenital syphilis, with destruction of facial features is another notable exception. But these are all RARE examples of ‘incurable’ syphilis.
Can you give us more details? What stage of syphilis is your diagnosis? Do you have the blood results you can share with us? Have you been treated for syphilis in the past? If so, what with?

I think so! The standard CURATIVE treatment at this stage is an intra-muscular injection of benzathine penicillin.
