So I had unprotected sex with someone last thursday. they had told me a few times that that are clean and get tested often but i never confirmed a test. Anyway by the middle of the next week i felt and itching sensation in and around my vagina as well as white chunky discharge, i treated with over the counter yeast infection medication. the next day i felt painful bumps around my labia and near my anus. i went to the doctors and immediately had a swab and blood test done. dr said it looked like herpes but could be yeast infection. prescribed valcyclovir, yeast pill and lidocane. im still waiting on results. now i have an excessive white discharge that has now turned yellow and foul smelling. i also used different vaginal soaps and deoderants around the time of this infection as well as exposure to wet conditions from swimming sweating and travel.
so my question is... yeast infection? definitely herpes? bacterial infection or combo? so scared and stressed right now
hi, youre experiencing the same thing that happened to me. discharge, odor and sores. i was diagnosed with a yeast infection and HSV 2. the odor i believe is a symptom of the herpes. because the same thing happened to me, i took the yeast infection medication and still had discharge and odor for a few days. keep taking the valcyclovir and your symptoms should subside in a few days.
so the sores look like hsv 2 to you !?
its hard even for doctors to be able to diagnose hsv by just looking at it hence why they do swabs and blood tests iv seen alot of things look like herpes and it turns out not to be u should await the results of your swabs and take things from there
yes kind of. do you have any swollen lymph nodes? feel against the sides of your pelvis, the inguinal area
it really does look like it. but dont freak out. it could be anything. just try and take care of your sores. online remedies and such
nothing of the sort as of right now. ive been feeling tired though. bumps are almost healed but i still have a smell about me.

odor should go away soon, trust i know the smell is super disturbing. i felt tired too, idk if it was the medication or the virus but it would make me sleepy..i would knock out as soon as i got in the bed. hope your results are negative! and stay strong.

its hsv 2 i got the call today im devastated but i joined all the support groups i could. i may not be ok today but someday i will be
you will be okay. also you dont have to tell anyone (family/friends) until YOU are ready. may be tomorrow, maybe years from now.
