can someone help me i noticed bumps that i did not notice until after i shaved and i showed my mother who told me it just looks like razor bumps or razor burn because i do shave a lot because i just hate having hair down there and sometimes i do reuse a razor twice and i have sensitive skin but for some reason I’m still panicking because its been 3 weeks and these bumps are still here. i had unprotected sex with a guy i was messing with 3 months ago and still talk to til this day i told him about it and he told me he been tested and doesn’t have anything and have no symptoms of any STD but I’m still worried because i cant see a doctor until another week so until then I’m going to have in my mind that i have herpes or genital warts. i never had a fever and these bumps don’t itch burn or hurt and looked like this for about 3 weeks now so they are not busting or crusting up but to me they still look very scary. do this look like herpes or genital warts to anyone? they are only on the outside not inside. HELP PLEASE
Hi, it doesn’t look like herpes and by the fact it has been there 3 weeks, I’m pretty sure you can rule it out.
It looks like molluscum contagiosum. It’s a virus transmitted by skin to skin contact and the bumps are very contagious. You should see a doctor to have them removed an prevent them from spreading. Do not popped them as it can help them spread.
MC is very common, especially with kids. It’s not an std because you can have them anywhere on your body. The virus stays with you for life as you become immuned and reccurence are extremely rare.
