my first question is if you already have herpes type 1(orally), can you still get type 1 on your genitals?? i got tested for everything last year, blood work and all and the only thing that came back positve was herpes 1- which me and the dr knew would bc i have had fever blisters on my mouth since a child. Fast forward to now, ive been with the same sex partner since right after i got checked. so i know i didnt have anything. i get reoccruing bad yeast infections and have been to the dr several times for that and BV. i revently just got over a bad yeast infection that lasted over a week. my dr gave me three diflucan and it went away. i recently noticed flat sore type things beside the opening of my vagina. they dont reslly bother me, dont itcb, burn or anything. just little sore when i wipe. i go monday to the dr. could this just be from the yeast infection? its been about 4 days, and they arent white or blistered with puss or anytbing. kinda looks like a laceration. help ease my mind until monday.
It’s very rare to get it in both places. Particularly arriving so late after the first oral Herpes.
Your body will have built up immunity to HSV type 1 following the oral infection so you’re pretty much immune from getting it on your genitals.
There is no cross immunity between HSV1 and HSV2 though so you would still be vulnerable to HSV2
yea i agree with what mark said. you can still get hsv 2 there but very rare for hsv1. Also it is possible for a yeast infection to cause irritation eapecially if you rubbed or scratched.
how long do yeast infection sores last? ive had these since tuesday. dont hurt when I pee or anything.
