i was just diagnoses on wednesday and started acyclovir the same day. my symptoms started on monday and im still in so much pain and it feels like the sores are never going to go away. is there a way to help dry the sores faster on top of taking the meds?

Epsom salt baths really helped me
dab tea tree oil mixed with coconut oil on the sores with a que tip!
the cold setting on a hair dryer really helps too

not so much just make sure there is a good bit of coconut oil if you are worried about it.

also take some zinc
Epsom salt baths, i liked adding lavender essential oil to the salt as well, as it has some really good healing properties as well.
An ice cub in a circular motion (although i never did this but many swear by it).
I would love to lay butt ass naked, spread eagle as well whenever i could.
If youre out and about and too uncomfortable, a prescription for lidocaine gel was a god send to manage pain (doesnt help them dry any quicker but helped for pain when i needed it).
