I can't even go to the shop without being too nervous which leaves me being at home all the time. Being at home all the time gives me anxiety too. I run upstairs if s
Laura, how long has this been going on? And may I ask how old you are?
My daughter suffered this for fifteen years. She did manage to go and see her doctor, but no meds agreed with her. She couldn't go to therapy because she couldn't leave the house...........
I feel for you. Can you tell me a bit more about it? I have to log off now but I'll come back online tomorrow and read your answer. love Tess
Oh laura, i really feel for you. I felt like that for years. I started with anxiety at 15yrs and am now 65, but have learned how to cope with it. I was agoraphobic for over 20yrs and could not go out alone. On various medications none of which really helped. What DID help when i was 40yrs wa CBT cognitive behaviour therapy by a psychologist who came to my home for 2 yrs every few weeks. He analysed where my fear were coming from and helped me address them and how to overcome them. You have a fear (maybe an unknown fear) but somewhere in your life you have lost confidence and have fear which spark off adrenaline which in turn give us all thrse horrid feelings which are very real. Please talk to your gp - you may need some medication to get you over the worst. Give it a go as we all need help at times. ?Are u in uk? All the very best x
Laura, I promise that tomorrow I will tell you my daughter's story. Just going to bed now, but I haven't forgotten you. lots of love - you are not alone - there are many good people on this site who will help you. love Tess
