Help IBS / strong diarrhea every morning

Hi, I am looking for adive if someone exeprience the same as I do.

I have a very bad IBS for 5 years. I am intolerant to gluten too. I am very careful with my food, I am gluten free, and I try Fodmap diet.

But, every morning, I have very bad diarreah, just like if I don't assimilate the food I eat. And I often have the sensation I need to go to the bathroom all along during the day. If I take something against diarreah I have the opposite : constipation. I also have a lot of water in my colon, it s so noisy, like if I always have 1 liter there. What can I do? I really don'y know anymore, I tried so any things...Thanks a lot

The only thing I can advise you to do is go and discuss this with your doctor.

I see all the best doctors and did all possible exams. Nothing found, and all medecine didn't help...

I think you should see your G.P to get tests done, it could be crohns. Hope I this helps.

Hi

Don't know if you've heard of bile acid malabsorption (bam for short). It mimics ibs symptoms, & is as common as 1 in 3 ibs-d sufferers. It is caused by too much "free bile acid" going to your colon instead of being recycled through your digestive system. You can ask your gp or gastroenterologist for a sehcat test which involves taking a safe mildly radioactive tracer capsule that mimics bile acid & then having a quick scan. You go back to hosp a week later & have another scan. From this they can calculate if too much "free bile acid" is leaving your body through your colon causing irritation & symptoms like ibs-d. I have recently been diagnosed with it & have been on simple prescription medication that has made things so much better. My stomach is calm & quiet - no more gurgling, bubbling, fizzing - it used to sound like the amazon rain forest sometimes! Stomach ache remarkably less, more normal formed stools with less liquid, & 75 - 80% less diarrhea (I still have ibs-d & colitis, so can't expect perfection). I have had more improvement in the last 3wks than I have in 3mths. The med I am on is questran sachets. You have nothing to lose by asking for the test. Hope this helps.

this is interesting, thanks a lot. I think the doctors told me before that they should see something wrong in blood test, if I had something like this. I am going to talk about it wit a doc. Tks
