i got a blood test which showed hsv 1 with a 40.1 and i always get cold sores but HSV 2 was negative. if i was exposed only a month before the blood test could it be wrong?
You can have hsv1 on the genitals.

The virus can lay dormant for years. Its a possibility you may have passed it when you had a sore on your mouth to your genitals.
