Help just found out I'm going through the menopause at 42

Just need some advice ☺

Menopause is a perfectly normal and natural part of female life. Luckily we live in a time when there are lots of resources and sources of advice and help. This website has some very good information - have a look at the links on the bottom right. There is also a very good website called menopausematters. There is also a very frank and open blog which I can give you the website address for in a private message.

It is important to remember that we are all different, everyone has different symptoms which last for a different duration. We all have different priorities too - some women choose not to get medical assistance from HRT and to go through menopause naturally with only the assistance of diet, herbs, meditation, other opt for HRT. First off we do our research to examine the pros, cons, side effects, risks etc. of the various choice available to us and make a decision to how we would like to progress through the journey of menopause, which can last anywhere from a few months up to 14 years. Decisions change too. I managed for 4 years using only natural suppliments, etc. but things progressed to a point where I decided to use HRT.

What are your symptoms? Are they manageable without help from HRT? Do they impact only slightly in your life or do they impact negatively on your life and the lives of those you love?

Hi Clare! Friend of mine was 43.  She would be 42 but it's freaked her and she went on some hormonal treatment but it didn't go well. She stopped taken hormones and now she is without any periods.

Hope you feel well.
