Well, first of all you should be sure it's not the problem with the digestive system (I mean everything: what you eat, if you have allergies, ), if you smoke (also) and etc. In other words, basic things which influence the health of the skin face.
Another option: those can be hormonal changes as you're 17 now.
But, anyway, there're several things to do:
Go, visit beauty therapist. Won't recommend any of these Roaccutane or other drastic methods. Professional cosmetics with components that work WILL help. I'm working with Anna Lotan for many years now. As you're a boy (and in most cases boys think, they know everything, they neglect the basic skin care rules of daily routine) I advise you to find out about: Clear Foam, Clear Dry Touch (dries a bit your red pimples, Provit Cream Mask (analogue to the antibiotics - has GREAT effect on skin, believe me) and at least, one of the moisturizers (there're lots in the lines)
Don't touch your face, don't even think on sqeezing the spots yourself (it has to be done by a professional)
Acne fighting is a long way. Be patient and you will do it. Good luck!
I'm not getting you are serious about masturbating or not...but here is the most effective acne fighting kit I've ever tried. It's also natural remedy, that was the key point when I found these products because I have a very sensitive skin. You can buy it as a kit (that's how I used it) or acne gel/acne wash only. I would recommend to use it all together with the pills for problem skin. It works great! _____
