it does definitely look like herpes. I’d get tested right away to make sure, because if you wait too long you have higher chances of getting a false negative.

looks kind of bacterial to me. get it swabbed if its new.
yes, basically for a swab test they have to collect fluid, so if it’s too dry there won’t be enough fluid to analyse and it can turn into a false negative!
