DO I NEED TO CALL THE AMBULANCE OR IS IT MY MIND MESSING WITH ME BUT MY CHEST AND ARM HURT IS IT ANXIETY OR HEART ATTACK

It's your mind trust me

YOU SURE CAUSE I KNOW I FEEL PAIN IN MY CHEST AND MY ARM I'M JUST TRYING TO MAKE SURE IT'S NOT THE BIG ONE AND MY HAND SWEATY

Try some breathing exercises to try and calm yourself down. If continues try ring a hospital helpline who you can describe your symptoms to and they will advise you on what is wrong with you and what you should do! Hope all goes well xx

Also I have had chest pains due to anxiety which brought me to the emergency room

But it turns out it was just anxiety playing tricks on me again!!

DID YOU HAVE ARM PAIN WITH THE CHEST PAIN

I would recommend u to go to ER just for u to calm down it not going to take anything from u if u go just time but I'm sure u feel way better if they tell u is just a panic attack I tell u this cuz I been through it I hope u feel better

I don't think you would be able to make it to your computer and type heart attack chest pain would drop you to your knees but don't read any symptoms your body is gonna mimic them the best way it can you gotta fight bro

I KNOW THAT.. BUT THIS ARM PAIN IS WAT GETTING TO ME CAUSE YOU ARM PAIN IS SIGN OF HEART ATTACK

THANKS I THINK I'M JUST GONE CALL THE AMBULANCE AND HAVE THEM CHECK ME OUT

If you're truly worried call 911 but anxiety is a powerful thing the bible says that the mind is deceitfuly wicked, whom may know it. Like I said before if it were a real heart attack you wouldn't be on here so please be calm

You are NOT having a heart attack. Arm pain IS a symptom of acute anxiety. I had it for 4-5 months. Try to force yourself to stay still in your bed. Do respond to fear. Just play dead, don't react to anxiety, just notice it, feel it, and dont judge it. I know, it's a weird thing to say but its the best advice I can give you. IT WILL SURELY PASS.

OK THANKS BUT WHY IS IT BOTHERING ME I'M NOT STRESS I JUST STARTED A NEW JOB TODAY

You're probably nervous about that just relax everything will be fine

slow your breathing down. grab an ice back and put it in your chest and neck for a few mins at a time. raise your feet up on a pillow to relax. rub your temples. try to notice if the sensation lessens. if you are young and relatively healthy, you are not in the highest risk group. you're probably freaked out by the new job - delayed stress. if you really need help, get help. but anxiety can cause your symptoms and many more!

That also happens to me but I just start telling myself is anxiety but if you go to the hospital there going to tell you is your anxiety

Breathe in for 4 hold for 7 breathe out for 8

Hi takela....I think in the interest of absolute safety, if you can get to your nearest hospital or have a friend or family member take you there if possible.

It most likely is pure anxiety, but better to be safe than sorry. I think it's safe to say most of us here have all felt what you're feeling right now.

It is terrifying but the mind is a very powerful thing that just loves to play tricks on us to keep us on our toes unfortunately.

you're going to be fine.

Take care

John

First: turn off the cap lock. Second, I can't tell exactly what is on your mind but I could be an accumulation of fatigue, your knew job, or any unresolved issue. I know it's bothering you. I'm experiencing it at the very moment. But the this is: you can't die from this. Fear and trying to fight it will make it much worse. Trust me. So don't fight it and try to distract yourself. You will probably fail at this because it is hard to distract your thoughts when you think you're dying. But, is it like learning to ride a bicycle: try again, again and again until you make it.  Distract yourself, go for a run, anything, and whenever your thoughts are racing again and you feel you're losing control: don't worry, just gently refocus on the present. If you keep on trying, it will get easier. But it is hard to do this. It takes a constant effort. Distraction and coping abilities are the key.
