Hello. I am a 16 year old male who was in good health until 2 months ago. So about 2 years ago I started getting this tingling in my hands and feet. I went to the doctor and they prescribed me vitamin b12 pills which I took. The tingling eased off and ceased completely for a few months. However, in January of 2016, it started again and has continued tingling in and off till now. The doctor thought it might be diabetes but my urine analysis test rules that out. I have gotten a blood test and all my vitamins were at normal levels, but b12 was not tested for. Recently I have become short of breath and my heart pounds while playing sports which were easy to play just a few months ago. I have a doctors appointment scheduled in October but should I go earlier. I am having many of the symptoms of b12 deficiency and suspect that might be the problem.
Make an appointment now. Not saying its serious but why wait another 3 months and worrying about it when you can find out now!!!!!!
Yeah that’s what I was thinking but we have gone to the doctors many times this year and my parents are not that willing to take me again until the yearly scheduled physical in October.
Yes but ur parents arent the ones who arnt feeling well. Make the appointment. Insist if you have to!!!!!
Obviously, you have to go earlier before it gets worse. Tell your doctor about all the symptoms you've encountered so he/she may understand your condition.
