i am so glad you took a photo! thank you - i hope you are doing ok. have you found out more information?

i found a small straw like thing like yours and frayed end. i was baffled seeing it, but also worried. i chose to wait and see if it happens again before i go to doctors. i have not have had any since but i have had other symptoms of abdominal pain that comes and goes & bloating. i dont know if this is related to the straw thing in my stool.

Mind if I ask how your situation turned out and if you ever found out what it was? I went to the bathroom and had a very similar thing happen. I had diarrhea, and in it two red things that looked like plant stems and I have no idea what else to describe it as. It wasn’t moving and didn’t bend either. I’m worried I have c diff or parasites.

sounds like what im experiencing. I poured green rubbing alcolhol on them and about 30-35 seconds after this thing started to rage about and seemed to have had tiny glitter like round things come from it, several Swimming around, but couldnt see eggs with naked eye, but could with phone. Very disturbing

i have ezakly the same thing ive done bowel prep 4 times n had colenospys they found polups but doesnt explane y my poo looks like dryed tabacoo when looking after braken in hafe i have huge long clusters off looks like tree roots n ive gloved up n pulld out the realy realy hard thing it kinda looks like my poos is full off sticks n strings with so meny seeds i took worm tsbblets again tonight n huge strings come out n bits off skin or tissue papper looks like n big seads little seads stem n thousends off strings i get bolk belly akes hurts to poo its werd mine looks like theres more string then poo n what r the hard wood like things ive googled everythink n carnt find no pitchers

so this was in my 4 year olds poop yesterday, and since then he’s been pooping (pasty diarrhea) upto 5 times a day. does anyone have an answer this is the only thread I can find where anything sounds the same.

Has anyone found an answer to this? This is the only place I’ve been able to find anyone going through the same thing as me. I’ve been finding the same straw/twig like things in my stool and in the shower for 3 years now and have had those random skin rashes that come and go for even longer. Along with that my anal region has been inflamed and itchy for the same amount of time. I’m at a loss, there’s no way any doctors would believe me, I had a colonoscopy 2 years ago and they found ulcers but said I was fine.

okay so i did an enema because ive been constipated lately and is it just me or does anyone have the same thing happening in my poop theres lik this black skin like potato skin small peices of it along with these black bark twigs idk wtf it is like tearing apart wood anybody find the problem solution answer

i havent been on here since i made the post years ago, and the “potato like skins” gave me a flash back mine was exactly the same. i never found out what it was but it doesnt happen anymore. i hope you find answers but dont be too worried

i have same thing going on, at first I wasnt paying attention and the “twigs” were thinner and smaller but today I found, or better to say extracted in the shower after BM, quite long and thick one. Very hard in consistency.
I am clueless but it definitely looks like something I ate which just comes out undigested - problem is that I have not.

I saw somewhere in this post that somebody, I think it was Crystal, described excatly same thing, also happening in the shower post bowel movement, she wrote she took a pic to show to the doctor but has never come back.

Did you every explain / show this to your doctor, since it is lasting for such a long time already?
