I just got blood test back and they said I had herpes 1 but I can't remember the last time I had a cold sore or anything like it. I was prescribed acyclovir 400 MG 3 times a day. do I take it now or wait till I have an outbreak. How long do I wait to take the second and 3rd pill

Take it as you take breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Since you need to eat before you take it, make sure you eat a snack atleast before taking it if you're skipping a meal. It would give you about 4-6 hours in between each pill.
Do I take it when I get an outbreak or start now
You can do eother way. You start taking it for as long as you want as a suppressant. (To prevent it from happening.) or just take it when you feel you're about to have an outbreak.
If you do not have any symptoms, you don't need to take the meds. I am not sure why it was even prescribed in your case.
