I have been experiencing itching, dryness and tears on my labia minora. Skin is rough. Herpes tests are negative. My doctor's have ran STI tests and have been able to come up nothing.
Hi , don’t know if this helps you but I suffered from soreness and tears . (painful) but no itching (most people do itch ) from when I came of hrt , they didn’t even wean me off , just stopped it . This was 4 years ago . I went to doctors a couple of times in that period but as there were no white patches they didn’t know it was LS . They told me to moisturise as older women dry up . I even tried nappy cream as it was so sore when I peed . Then one day I had a small lump down there and was worried it was vulvar cancer as my sister died of it and she was only 33 . It had been at least 8 months since my last visit . The lump was a blocked hair follicle but more importantly there were white patches . Sent me to specialist and had biopsy and it was LS . I’ve been treated now and nearly back to normal by using steroids and special creams recommended by her . I caught mine early so easier to treat although I will have it for life and will have to keep an eye on it . Maybe you should ask to be referred to a specialist . It could well be the beginning of LS . Take a mirror and have a look , see if you have any pale skin or white spots developing , that’s normally what comes first I’m told . Hope this helps and good luck .
BB- Please go to a GYN and get a definitive diagnosis so you can get proper treatment!
Busterbob - Your symptoms sound as though they could be LS. Do go back and ask the direct question. I too have rough patches and believe it is all part of LS. No doctor has suggested it is anything more. good luck.
PS: unlike Jacqueline I never had white patches but I did itch, so we are all experience different symptoms I guess.
Hi, looking at your pics and reading about the tears that you are experiencing leads me to believe that it is LS. You will need to find a vulva clinic if possible as they are more experienced and then you will receive the correct treatment.
Have you found any relief in the itchy, skin changes? I'm having the exact same issue.
