Hey so I got prescribed escitalopram 5mg for 3 weeks but experienced dizziness and a few other side effects. However I did see my mood improve a little and an esse in my anxiety until one day I started to feel anxious for no reason again. Went to a psychiatrist and got prescribed Venlaflaxine 37,5mg for the first week and then increase the dose. I have only taken it 2 days and I feel like s**t. I feel depressed (but i don‘t know if its the med or me), more dizziness and horrible anxiety/hot flashes and I can‘t sleep. I took 0‘5mg of lorazepam but didn‘t help. I don‘t know if I should continue because I read so many horrible stories that I‘m scared. I don‘t know if I should simply stop now before withdrawal symptoms and try to go back on escitalopram but maybe tell the doc to increase my med? Or should I stick to it? I‘m feeling super depressed and anxiety is like 100000%! I am considering going to the hospital to be treated because my family is not with me so basically desling with this all on my own and the doc doesn‘t really give me his number or helps me if I have any questions. I need my fam but I won‘t see them until 8 weeks! Thats too long for me and I‘m getting worse as time goes by. Really scaring
I had depression and i still have anxiaty and my anxiaty by being so high is causing me to have depersonalization i took venlantafaxine 75 mg for seven weeks i had the worst sidde effects ever it was making me feel worse! I had no hope at week 6 i started to have calm momments but on week 7 all my symptoms came back soo on friday i decided to go see my dr and she changed me to escilopram 10mg i have hope this will help me soon i been feeling sleepy and nervous idk if its the side effects but i will give it a try!!!!
Hi anakruyff all ssri tablets make you extremely nervous.i am sat here rigid with anxiety myself .Have you got any medication to calm you down.If i was you i would see it through anxiety cannot harm you it will just make you feel very ill......Jeff
I have lorazepam but didn‘t work much. Only took ‚5mg though. What medicine are you taking? Do antidepressant work afterwards?
How long have you been taking it? I didn‘t give it much chance to work so i don‘t know if to go bacl on escitalopram or continue witj effexor because I‘m scared also about the negative effects of withdrawal.
