Age - 40 Sex - M Height - 5'8" Weight - 184 Race - Caucasian Duration of complaint - 5-6 years Location (Geographic and on body) - right side of stomach/oblique Any existing relevant medical issues (if any) - none Current medications (if any) - TRT for 5 months I'm looking for help in identifying these broken blood vessels on my stomach/oblique (right side). I have shown them to my doctor and he requested an ultrasound which was inconclusive and he didn't see any reason to be concerned. https://i.imgur.com/BuoMvSR.jpg https://i.imgur.com/azEi2Fp.jpg They first appeared around 6 years ago. At the time I had developed a taste for scotch and was consuming a 750 ml bottle on most weekends. Foolish I know. I stopped this after about 2 years and still had the odd weekend bender but I have since kept my drinking to a moderate level. The markings have slowly grown over that time. After a night of drinking they will intensify in red color but there is absolutely no pain at the site. My liver values have been checked and they are fine. My diet is very clean and I work out 4-5 times per week and lead a fairly active life style.
Maybe they are thread veins? You can get them anywhere including your stomach. The tops of my legs are covered in them. They can be unsightly but are not dangerous.
Hi cleamon 272
The veins are called “Bleeding Varices” usually caused by cirrhosis of the liver or alcohol. They are burst blood vessels from the eosophagus to the stomach…
