Help with fat content please!

I know that the amount of fat you can have is 5gm per 100g.   But please could someone tell me which of the fat contents you look at when you read the labels on packets etc.    I thought it was the lower one but someone told me I should be looking at the higher one!   Please, who is correct?

On the packet there is fat and saturated fat. The fat is what u look at and it should state the total in the whole thing and the amount per 100g.

That's what u look at so u know yr not having anymore than 5g per 100g yr eating.

For eg a packet of skips is 4.6g in total

But if u look at them per 100g it's actually 32g of fat😳that's where people get it wrong. 💩💩💩

Hope that made sense smile

per total fat

where it states per 100g

Yes thank you it does make sense.   Think I may have been going wrong with that!!!

Thank you for that.

no worries x

Takes a bit to get yr head round! But once you have been it a while it all falls into place. So many people get it wrong and have nasty accidents. Good luck

I have been doing the fat free diet for about 4 weeks now and have lost 11lbs, which I am pleased about.  Next weigh in with surgery nurse tomorrow.  Now I know which Fat content I should be looking at, I hope I will loose even more next week.!!   Thank you for your help.

No probs, well done on the fab loss. Keep going smile
