Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post. I recently realised I'm affected by the condition called overbite as when my mouthing is resting, my top incisors overlap the bottom ones. When I bring the jaw forward with my jaw muscles, the top and bottom incisors touch each other but all the of other teeth don't and this movement also creates a massive gap between the top and bottom molars. Do you think I'm right to think I'm affected by the condition called overbite or there is something else wrong with my mouth/teeth?
I have exactly the same and have done for 74 years. Was told nowadays you can have an op to split your jaw bone and widen below and possibly add an implant. Way too expensive for me, but having some implants now as can't keep false teeth in, and a back implant to balance my jaw to make it level for chewing. Don't worry this condition is very common my Dentist told me, and he said I have got it too.
Well, I would suggest you to pay a visit to an orthodontist so that they can examine what is the actual problem.
I had overbite issue so went to orhtodonticexprts.com for my treatment. Though treatment is not cheap but its not expensive than my health. You should consult a professional if there is no problem you will be relaxed.
