Going in to my 3rd week of 20mg of cit. yesterday I had a real weird feeling in my neck almost like my tension was so bad. That made me panic then all night I kept waking feeling it. I've woken up this morning convinced myself I have something else wrong not anxiety and if can't stop shaking. The shaking I've had before but it goes but this hasn't. Can't even get off the sofa. Only eaten half a banana today so I know that won't help. This is unbearable.
Hi brambles ,I too have had this, trust me there's nothing else wrong with you it's all anxiety,it's very scary I know, anxiety plays tricks on your mind and yes the feeling in your neck is built up tension from where your body is having trouble relaxing ,unfortunately I don't take medication so I can't advice you if that's got any kind of affect on the shakes but hopefully someone else will ,please feel free to private message me anytime x
When you say cit., do you mean citalopram? I had extreme panic attacks while taking that, although not every does. If I were you, I'd call your doctor to discuss this. If you are reacting, s/he may be able to give you something else. Your symptoms sound disturbing enough that it should be brought to medical attention because if you're having a side effect, you don't want to add more. However, you may need to taper off. Please call your doctor. There's no shame in asking for help. I know it's hard to do when you have anxiety, but remember that s/he wants to know. I think that we're used to being shoved aside in our symtoms by doctors, but please at least call. Best wishes.
You need to eat to keep going. Make sure you do or you will feel terrible physically.
Don't let the anxiety get the better of you.
