help

Been feeling a Lil light headed for almost 3 weeks been to the Er a few times and even had a ct scan which came back clear not to mention the headaches in the right frontal part of my head when and seen my primary and was told it was a inner ear virus but it's not getting better and I have already spooked myself out thinking it was a tumor of some sort anyone have this feeling

I have had SO many extraordinary symptoms in relation to this illness/disorder

i have also had all types of tests which prove negative. It does not alter the fact that I have felt extremely UNWELL this past week and have been to at least 4 doctors, practice nurses and consultants, but do not have a conclusive diagnosis twith regard to a cure. This is not only very scary when the dizzy spells manifest themselves, but SO difficult to cope with the debilitating symptoms when they present themselves as involuntary spasms, which result in a feeling of a creeping paralysis in my neck ,shoulders ant then a  feeling of pressure in my head and stiffness in my neck.

i have very little faith in the medical profession as I have witnessed first hand my husband's illness, which proved terminal, and was not diagnosed for a number of years.I have many of  thoughts and worries that the doctors are not the best diagnosticians, but I suppose the scans,MRI's ,ultrasounds and all tests are more accurate.

i feel as though I am slipping through the net with regard to diagnosis.I am being told that I need CBT,I think I need more tests,as my blind terror and worry for what the rest of my body's future holds, has totally taken over my life

So sorry to hear of yours and Falen's distress over these problems.  I don't have anything similar, but have suffered from dizziness and spasms in the past.  The very worst thing about having an illness without a name is that you just don't know what's happening to your body and every fear in the world creeps in, especially when you've been through so much with your husband Wendl.  And I can imagine that being offered CBT makes you think that the medics think it's all in your mind!  How insulting is that, even if CBT might be helpful in coping with these medical challenges.  I had one problem after the other when I was going through the menopause and I know that the medics just marked me down as a crank!  Strangely though, they all disappeared after the menopause, including all the migraines and muscle and joint problems.  I discovered that it was HRT causing many of my problems and got better as soon as I stopped taking it.

Anyway, sorry to ramble on, but just wanted to let you know that I believe that you do have these symptoms and a good doctor will also take them seriously and continue to look for a cause.  It's quite possible that the cause could be something simple like my situation above.  The other thing I once did was to pay to see a consultant privately - he gave me the time I needed and diagnosed me straight away.  This was like someone lifting a huge weight from my heart and my shoulders.

Take care and try, if you can, to only deal with the actual problems rather than the 'what if's'.  But know this is easier said than done.

I had symptoms of dizziness, loss of balance, numbness in feet and hands. Finally realised that it was a Vitamin B12 deficiency. I'm now taking an iron syrup with Vitamin b12 and folic acid. Also taking a vitamin supplement containing methylcobalamin 1500mcg. Feeling much better in 1 day. Also I reduced the antacids I was taking as this hinders absorption of Vitamin B12
