Help

Another day another anxiety attack.. 5 minutes before work this morning.. still quite jittery and lightheaded .. anyone any advise on how to calm it down and stop the jumpyness??

Hi Rachael I hope you feeling better love it's hard to do the breathing techniques but they say slow breathing helps are you taking any medication for your panic attacks xx

I went into the bathroom and did the breathing and have to say it stopped the panic attack within about 10 seconds.. it's the tremors afterwards and I'm so jumpy now... I need to calm my brain or something coz its on high alert right now.. also on no medication because I can't deal with the side effects id rather just have the attacks =\

Good for you for following Rachelmarie's advise. As to the jitters, after you have calmed down, immediately re focus by doing something physical, dance around the room, tense all your muscles tight then consciously release and let go, jog or fastwalk around the block, do some yoge, whatever you would enjoy doing. This will let your body and emotions calm down.
