I'm a male I've had heroes for a couple years now and I still have never told anyone. I've only had a few outbreaks and they were mild but a little over a month ago I noticed numbs and sores it acts like it's getting better but comes back or a spot will heal then another spot will have an outbreak I've taken two hiv tests and they were negative I never get sick but for some reason this outbreak seems to have no end in site I don't have health insurance so idk what to do. Just wanting to know if anyone else has gone through this like me. Why is this outbreak worse than any other outbreak also it was about a year between my last outbreak and this one I'm 23 and pretty healthy so I just don't understand it any help would be awesome!
Are you able to access and afford the meds? Acyclovir should be quite cheap, especially if only enough to treat your current episode.

Depends where you are. Some places don't require a prescription. Sounds like you do, however. Can you order online without one? Otherwise just buy acyclovir cream (not ointment). Comes in a tiny tube for oral cold sores, but you can use it genitally and only need a little bit each time. It won't treat the virus from the inside-out, but it may help to hasten healing (works for me at least) and hopefully give you a bit of a break. Good if you can get to a doctor if it continues, however.
