Help

Hi my name is Alexa, I've been having bad thoughts that can't go away. The ones I have are about questioning the brain and how it works and If we really know about anxiety and the chemicals? I can't stop thinking about this because anxiety doesn't make sense to me. Our brains are the most complex system and I can't stop thinking about this. I try to meditate but it's nearly impossible, if anyone can give me some sort of insight that would be great. I'm not thinking of having a brain tumor.

You've got it 100% right.  Anxiety doesnt make sense to you.  Anxiety lives and breathes on irrational ideas and thoughts.    Try to breathe, slow down your mind as best you can.  Focus on physical sense: what you see, what you physically feel, what you hear, what you taste, what you smell.  Focus on the present, try your best to slow your mind.

I have had some crazy thoughts brought on by anxiety, some frightening and some absurd.  Eventually you learn to recognize these thoughts for what they are, simply meaningless thoughts, and assign less meaning to them and eventually no meaning to them.  It's a long road but it leads to good places. 

Thank you so much. I literally can't stop questioning how my mind works, how the brain works and when I look it up I get zero answers so it makes matters worse. How do we know the truth or what to go by?

Like anxious P said .. 100 % right! ! Aniexty plays on your thoughts your fears it makes you question everything it can make you have irrational thoughts.

Have you seen a G, P at all have you explained how you feel.. if not go back ask the questions you want too.

I would say we have to trust that our GPS and professionals are getting it right for us.

When I get the irrational thoughts i tryi to focus my mind on the present it is hard at first when you've lots on but if you can try. I have mindfullness colouring books that have sayings, breathing techniques ect I find they keep me thinking of the picture I'm colouring not on what's going on in my head. Just a thought.

Everything doesnt get an answer. Science is in its infancy still trying to figure out how everything works. They dont know. Which means it is way more complex then man can understand so who knows maybe this thing has a way to self correct or be retrained.? It all comes down to what you believe anyway. We have all been so brain washed when dr says what heals and what wont we believe it and then a decade later they change their minds haha. Truth.It is getting yourself to the point you sirrender , accept and attatch no iutcome. Basically trust the process of oife. Not understand it, trust it,

meditation should never be forced. And there are all kinds. I dint use the relaxation ines they annoy me lol. I use the chi or energy or healing ones. Theres hundreds to try on you tube. And mindful exercises are good. Shorter and good. You find what resonates with you. Anything that brings you solcase is the best thing for you,

Yeah, I went vegan because of how many times I've been screwed up with medication. But it's gotten to a point where I even question that sometimes. I feel like if I knew that our brains were real and how they function is real then I wouldn't be so caught up

Your brain is real. And you can learn how it functions by looking that up and in terms of emotions and fight or flight im sure there are many utube videos on that. You are real. You have a brain. Peek at spect scans too, very interesting. You also have a mind or your thoughts and memory, and a soul. Your essence. You sound as if you are interested more in mind, body and soul and how it all works. Thats not a bad thing, check your messages. I cant post on here otherwise because it is too specific, but ill send you some stuff thru messages.

Alexa,  go to YouTube and search for meditation for clearing subconscious negativity. I use earbuds and lie down and listen.   To many more of these audio meditations on YouTube that help us to separate fearful thoughts or negative thoughts from ourselves. They really help to calm my mind down. Listen to several and choose the ones you like.  I do this A couple times a day.

 we may never know exactly how every part of our brain works but one thing is for sure….If we feed it negativity it will respond in such.  And we will feel negative and down,  anxious  and sometimes depressed. However if we feed it positive thoughts and take care of our bodies by exercise and eating right, we will feel happier and have peace of mind .
