Hi everybody.
I visited the doctor last week , which she suspected I had 'gallbladder' problems
Because I suffer from trapped wind which hurts.
Anyways I've been looking it up ,
I don't get the pain after eating , I can eat fatty foods etc and be fine I don't get attacks frequently the last time I had this pain was last Monday which lasted around 10 mins if that.
I'm fine in my self no pressure pain when you press down on my tummy no pain in my ribs etc.
Today I've had Chinese crisps etc and I'm fine etc.
Does anyone think she could of misdiagnosed wrong?
As I only get this pain when I've eaten to much .
The only way to really know how your gall bladder is thru Hida scan. My doc suspected gall bladder & he had me do a Hida scan an an upper GI barium turns out my gall bladder was only working 14%. I had a gall bladder attack 2 times. The 1st one was been in the center of my chest that lasted a couple of days. More intense on first day. Felt like a heart attack. Second attack was 6 months later flu like symptoms or thought it was food poisoning.
I just had mine removed about a yr in half later. Right before my surgery my symptoms were slight pain lower right side of abdomen & pain in my back under rib cage. The only other symptom I still have slightly is burping after anything I eat or drink. Good luck but ask doc for test to be sure.
You would need scans and blood tests to be sure. Doctors aren't infallible and this may well be a misdiagnosis. I was misdiagnosed as having kidney stones at first.
The symptoms you mention are similar to gallstones but also similar to other conditions. Your doctor may be right and it may be you are in the very first stages of gallbladder disease so not experiencing the full range of symptoms yet.
It may be a case of wait and see how this develops.
