I'v been on citalopram since 2012 on a 10mg two years ago was increased to 20mg an 2-3 weeks ago was increased again to 30mg. I'm not noticing any change I'm wondering weather to swap and go to a completely different antidepressant all together? Is this safe to do so and has anyone else done this if so what was the outcome? Hi. I have heard of people swapping g meds as some work better for different people. It's something you need to discuss with your Dr as you will have to slowly come off your current ones then start all over again with a new one. Did the 10mg dose work for you as you were on it a while?? It may be that the increase in dose may Take a while to really kick in. Don't stop them though as it will make you feel really unwell. Hey Sammy give it some time I am on 30 now and it took a long time to work, and remember every time u start a new dose it’s like starting all over. I been on 30 for months and it finally balanced out, I still get the minor dip which always seem to revolve around my heart papilations that I just seem to get randomly. Hang in there
