So I’ve been having a weird neck/head pain for the past month, some days is worse then others. I also shake awake when I try to fall asleep. I’ve been extremely stressed since my boyfriend passed away in April. My doctor says it’s just stress and anxiety but I overthink every thing and I’m convinced I’m dying. I feel faint sometimes and I’m scared to pass out. I don’t know what to do. My legs feel like jelly
I'm so very sorry for your loss. It's understandable that you'd be feeling this way after a traumatic event. It's sounds like you're suffering from PTSD following your bereavement coupled with health anxiety.
I really would suggest you seek some counseling if possible to help you through this.

Neck and headaches can be caused by tension in the neck after a whiplash injury or it can be caused by posture while sitting over a computer screen.
So you are suffering Anxiety, Stress possibly as your GP explains.
My neck pain initially was caused by a car whiplash injury, head support in earlier decades was not as good then.
If you overthink a health problem you will make matters worse, stop worrying. YOU ARE NOT Going to visit the GOLDEN GATES yet
Enjoy your Life
Has your GP given any medications for your Anxiety ?

Thank you, I’m trying my hardest not to think the worst! She has me on Ativan, and recently prescribed me Wellbutrin. I read some side effects of Wellbutrin so now I’m scared to take it.
Thank you. I was recently going to a counselor but I felt like it wasn’t really helping me so I stopped going.
All I will suggest here is, do not be concerned regards side effects, take the medication and see how it goes. Allow four or five weeks and see how you feel.
If you do not take your medication you will never know if that is the right one for you. Try not to anticipate any problems.
