I started having pelvic pain about 2 months ago. Went to the doc and had a wet mount test, sti testing and a vaginal ultrasound. Everything came back negative but the ultrasound showed two ovarian cysts. I went in for a ct scan and had a moderately sized cyst which they said could explain the pain. Pain has mostly subsided, but for the last week I’ve developed vaginal itching. It’s enough to wake  me up in the night. I treated myself for a yeast infection (despite having no discharge) and have gotten no relief. First, I’m wondering if I made the itch worse by inserting that medicine? I have no other issues. Just itching. No pain. No discharge. 

I feel like I’m going crazy.  I was tested 8 weeks after a new partner so that should have picked up an sti, right??? 

I should also say I’m 46 and peri menopausal with anxiety issues. I’m also wondering if that’s playing a part. 

Any advice?

No discharge at all?  White / grey discharge with a foul smell. Can be caused by bacterial vaginosis. That can cause itching. 

But honestly it could just be the fact that you’re peri menopausal. 

I think 8 weeks after picks up most stds. Certainly chlamydia/ gonorrhoea/ trich/ would’ve been picked up.

It would be worth speaking to your GP. There may be something they can prescribe to help . Good luck

Well my doc prescribed me clindamycin. I hope it helps.
