You may be doing some damage to the skin which takes a couple of days to heal. Are you using lube? If not, try it.

I’m intact too. When I was in my teens and twenties saliva was enough lube. The older I got, the drier I got and now I always use something to moisturise and lubricate foreskin and glans for self-pleasring.
