Help

I've been suffering the last few weeks with racing heart, anxiety in overdrive. Got a really dry mouth and convinced something more is going on. Feel sick and constantly running to the toilet. Through this I've lost half a stone, plucked up the courage to book appointment with female Dr on Thurs.

You’re not alone… I’m suffering the exact same symptoms and it’s totally ruined my Christmas. :frowning:
Hang in there and hope you get help at your appointment… menopause is such a horrible time.
Hope the New Year is good to you.

Thank you, quiet night in can’t face trying to be cheerful. Just grateful my partners understanding. I’ve lived on kalms for weeks but I’m afraid they’ll stop work soon.
Hope your new year is better, enjoy ur night xx

hopefully youll feel better soon, my dr put me on cipramil which helps with the hot flushes and anxiety. i have palpitations but have had all the tests with my cardiologist and my heart is fine just fluctuating of my hormones. im in very early stages of perimenopause and just try and take each dayas it comes

eloise xx

It’s all a very frightening journey, I was taking sage tablets for the flushes but they don’t seem to be working anymore. It feels like as soon as one symptom eases there’s more to replace xx

Good for you for making that appointment! I’m sure you will hear what we all already know- hormonal fluctuations.
Now you’ve inspired me to stop being a :hatching_chick: and make my next appointment.

Hi Heather, your not alone with your symptons, i suffer with all the sames things almost daily.
i have been taking magnessium once daily and this seems to help with heart palps.
my dr wants me to go on an antidepressant which i am very hesitant.
praying we all feel better soon !!

Hi Heather, Sounds like perimenopause wants to start 2019 for you. me too…last year I thought I was having a heart attack on several occasions. Stomach problems, GERD, too…and I also lost 15 lbs…not good as I am small. All this happened when my cycle became erratic. Good luck at the drs!

Me too, Heather… since the end of Oct for me. If the symptoms come and go with good days in between, it’s not so bad. Lately it’s every day, though, so it’s time.

Good Luck at your appt, and I hope you can find some relaxation and peace this evening.

Hugs, and take care!!
Sara

Hi thank you all for your support, I started magnesium supplements about a month ago, they have helped with acid reflux and palpitations just not the racing heart. Sister called tonight and told me to try daktarin for dry mouth candida, I didn’t even think it could be thrush. Straight out got some and started to work which has eased anxiety a little. But tomorrow’s another day xx

Hi Heather, try beet juice for the high heart rate, my husband has afib and makes it from fresh beets boiled and drinks it everyday, its the only thing that lowers his heart rate and keeps him out of afib, if he stops drinking it he’s right back into afib, don’t know why it works but it does and from what I’ve read its good for the heart..

Heather, what did your Dr recommend? what are you taking to manage your condition?

Feel better and take comfort in the forum. It’s a great source of information and reassurance.

Hi I’m seeing the GP on 3rd Jan, hopefully she’ll be a big help. Woke this morning with continuous flushes, migraine and now the sickly feeling. I’m plodding thro it with the help of some kalms knowing I’m not alone on this awful ride xx

Can I ask what strength of magnesium people take to gain relief from tiredness, anxiety, help heart palps etc?
Thank you. xx
