I've just recently had unprotected sex with someone and a couple days later felt some stinging. I thought it was because of the rough and friction and that I had a cut , fast forward to 7 days later im covered in lesions and can hardly walk. i spoke with him and he said he never ever experienced symptoms, nobody hea been with experienced symptoms and even now while im experiencing this outbreak hes perfectly fine .is there a chance i got it from someone else before? I was in a long term relationship before and we never had any symptoms plus i was always tested every 6 months ...
Since this seems to be your fist outbreak, you most likely got it from your current partner. A lot of people have the disease and don’t now about it because they have never experienced an outbreak or any other symptoms, this could be his case. Did he ever get tested for HSV?
Like my doctor told me when i was diagnosed guys don’t get the symptoms girls get though hes not showing symptoms doesn’t means he’s negative. At times i ask myself the same thing but i know it had to be from him. Though I had seen someone else before him. I started getting symptoms two weeks before my ob and when I had rough sex with him i guess that was the trigger.

if you would do a blood test right now, you probably are still IGG negative (and will convert into positive within several months)
while hes most likely IGG positive (having antibodies)
this way you could verify if he recently infected you
