first off, you are not alone. many of us are experiencing heightened anxiety due to the virus scare, myself included. many people new to suffering anxiety as well. question: do you have a fever? if so did it go to 100 degrees or higher? if not, it most probably is anxiety attack. you may want to call a gp just to be sure. but i will bet its anxiety. now, heres the hard part, you can spend months going to your gp and having tests done only to have them come back negative, or you can skip all that and go see a psychiatrist for faster relief. a good psychiatrist will treat your symptoms with meds both for the short term panic attacks and for the long term anxiety and stress issues. he will most probably give you xanex, kolonopin, adavan, etc., for immediate relief of panic attacks. this will help put you at ease in as little as a half an hour and also help you to sleep. he most probably will want you to take a med to control your anxiety and stress and regulate your mood. something like effexor, celexa, lexapro, latuda, etc., meant for long term control of anxiety and mood. these will help regulate your sleep and stop the ghost symptoms your brain is convincing your body you have at the moment. you are most probably psychosematic, meaning your brain has too much, or not enough of a certain chemical, and is telling your body its in trouble causing you to panic and feel miserable. this virus scare is especially dangerous to anxiety sufferers due to the hysteria its causing all around us. only thing you can do is turn off the news, and try to concentrate on a project around the house, maybe do a puzzle, draw, clean the house, something other than dwelling on the virus and the fact that you could get sick and die. you are NOT going to die. but its scary and we all are faced with our own mortality when thinking about the virus and the possible outcome of catching it. you are not alone, and medication, the right medications, will do wonders for you and make you feel better. finding the right long term medications for you is a process, you may not get it right the first time, which is why you must be vigilant about telling your doctor how you feel. if you feel sleepy or like a zombie, or jittery, its probably not the right medicine for you and have your doctor switch you to something else. also, i need to mention, long term meds, take about two weeks to move through your system before you feel the affects, so thats why i say its a process. but in the short term you will have the fast acting xanex or adavan, or other benzo, to keep you calm. i hope this helps.

Sounds like anxiety a bit. I think a lot of people (me included) are having heightened anxiety w/ Covid. I have moved out of my room 3 times out of fear of infecting my wife--yet I really didn't have symptoms. You'll through this.

thanks mate it's horrible man honest worst thing ever . hope tour ok aswell mate

all symptoms of anxiety so try and relax i know its not easy especially with the covid19 do u have any health monitors at home?sometimes if i check my heart rate blood pressure oxygen levels and its all fine it stops me panic

given what you have said on this forum i am guessing you are going to want to sleep to escape the anxiety symptoms. this is normal reaction. but you can only sleep so long before you suffer the consequences, which means little to no sleep at night when you should be sleeping. i am also guessing that you are located out of the states possibly in UK and your options for getting the correct help you need are limited? Look, i am telling you from experience, because i know the hell you are going through, get your GP to refer you to a psychiatrist. you may have to be persistent so he or she takes you seriously, but do what you have to do to get them to act. once you see the psychiatrist, tell him your symptoms and he/she should give you some sort of benzo to calm you down. these meds work in like 15 to 30 minutes and you will feel more at ease fast. my guess is they will also try to put you on a long term anxiety control medicine as well. this is a process, the anxiety meds take about two weeks to act and do their job. there are many different meds out there, so they may not give you the best meds for you the first time. everybody is different and how we react to certain meds is also different. if the meds they give you make you feel jittery like you want to jump out of your skin or make you feel like a zombie and sleepy all the time, then those are not the right meds for you. i have been through this process a few times and have been a anxiety panic disorder person for over ten years. good luck to you and be sure to write back and let us on this forum know how you are making out.
