I thought i would share my experience with what i have found after having my internal piles removed. I am now on week 7 after surgery and have had a small bleed this morning i actually had a small blood clot come out about 3 weeks back and i spoke to my specialist and he did tell me that the scars can let go now and again and cause a small bleed. None the less is still a bit concerning. I am now 47 and have suffered with bleeding hemorrhoids for 20 years so i had the surgery and 4 were removed and i thought great i wont bleed again well i havent had the bleeding like a few months back when i needed a blood transfusion. I have been overall back to normal apart from the small bleeds and from what i read here it seems to be normal. The truth in the end is (no pun intended) is that it takes 6 to 8 weeks to recover to some type of normal fucntion i have found and the pain was unbarable for a while like 3 weeks so its not a walk in the park. I ended up with some kind of infection 4 days after the surgery so was back in hospital which is also when i had my first bowel movement and it was excruciating and it still hurt a coupl of weeks after going to the toilet even with stool softeners. I will contact my doctor again but i think the bleeding is part of the healing process. Anyway i hope this helps somebody who reads and wants to know what it can be like.
